Winch Weight bags are a convenient device designed to hold sand and other wieghted objects and placed over a winch cable in place of shirts or jackets to help keep winch cables and/or winching hardware from becoming flying missles should part of the winching system fail while being used under stress. It is always recommended that some form of weight be added to the winch cable when being used.

The Winch Weight bags have been modified for better performance!  Each bag comes with a convenient carrying handle, two velcro sealed pouches on the bottom and two velcro sealed pockets on the sides.  The pouches on the bottom are designed to hold poly bags filled with sand and the pockets on the side are used to hold additional weight during a winching operation and to store winching accessories when not in use. Each bag has extra added velcro strips on the inside which can be wrapped around the winch cable to keep the bag in place while working on steep angles.  New  arms with buckles have been added which are intended to act like the sleeves of a shirt to catch air and  entwine broken cable. 

The Winch Weight is shipped with 5lbs of sand but the user should not rely soley upon this amount of weight to effectively control a broken cable or anchor point failure.  Before use always add as much additional wieght to the pockets as may be deemed necessary to help control a broken cable.

To help save on the cost of shipping, you can order your Winch Weight  without sand and add your own after delivery.
 
 

The bags can be easily stored between the seat and door or under the seat for easy access. 

Winch Weight Bags are made in the USA and constructed of 1000 denier Cordura Plus Nylon. The bags are coated with urethane on the back side making them water repellent and they have a DWR finish which prevents rot and mildew. Seams are sewn with Nylon thread and lock stitched so they will not unravel if a thread breaks.
